Türkiye hasn't played at the World Cup since 2002. I was 10. Core memory from that time: I asked my barber to spray paint my hair in Turkish flag colors. So he did, and I still vividly remember the smell of the spray paint and the way my hair felt after lol.
24 years later we are back. The first match is Australia vs Türkiye at BC Place in Vancouver, the city I moved to. Woke up at 6 AM for last-minute ticket sales because I couldn't wait to lock it in.
